Nevermind! I figured it out. I wasn’t skipping the first stitch after the ch2 in the beginning of each row.

Hello, I think the pattern needs to be adjusted. Row three should be Ch2, FPDC in the next two stitches, DC in the next two stitches and repeat. DC last stitch. Then the rest of the pattern should be repeat rows 2 and 3.

If you just repeat row 2, it doesn’t make the waffle pattern. I had to undo a row or 2 before I realized.
